yes??? I have strong feelings it won't be incredible like i want it to be, but it could still come out to be decent addition to the Dragonball Franchise. Never got into DB was born into the age of DBZ now that's what I'm looking forward too in hopefully the near future..... Probably won't happen though, oh well still glad that my childhood show is still kickin

I expected this to be a good movie, seeing how recent adaptations of animated shows were turning out alright. Immediately, As soon as I heard the first quote, "7 Dragon Balls must be found," I was let down. I read that this movie was supposed to stay true to the original Dragonball story, while making slight alterations so that it would work better in a movie format. That first quote from the trailer tells me that they're already off. Dragon Balls were never something that the main characters were forced to find. While I can see how this quote could work (ex. if they meant the Dragon Balls must be found to save many who were killed), this quote in its context doesn't lead me to believe that. Now as it continues saying something about man's fate, then it makes more sense, but it's not a good introduction sentence.

From there enters Roshi. Why does he have hair on his head? So much for character adaptation. Now Roshi sits in a group with six other people who take the formation that we usually see the seven Dragon Balls in. What building are they in and why are there so many candles? So far, none of this is in the anime. The only reason there is any connection with it at all is because they said Dragon Ball.

Goku is not bad for a white guy, however they didn't fix the hair or eye color. This video clearly shows Goku's hair brown, but in the anime, Goku's hair is black with absolutely no hint of brown ever.

Continuing through the trailer, we see several clips of fight scenes that continue to force dedicated Dragon Ball fans to question the locations. Finally, there's some more talking. What's this? The next line fails to follow the story yet again?! What is this talk about a prophecy? No profit ever foresaw Goku as a hero, he just became one.

Now I hate to continue to be picky, but I just can't allow anyone to say that this captures the anime story, when it really doesn't. Roshi was not Goku's trainer during the Piccolo Saga. At this point in the trailer, however, we clearly see Roshi saying, "We have no time to waste," to Goku.

Speaking of Piccolo, did you see him? If you were seeking a tall green alien, all you'll find is an elf-like human. To continue pointing out the obvious character flaws, Bulma doesn't keep her blue hair in this film. The argument for that is that it would look too unrealistic. With just a simple photo edit to Rossum, however, I personally believe that it would've looked much better to of made her hair blue. I guess I should be happy that Goku's gai looks as good as it does.

I'm naturally an optimist and I had hope that this would be a fine movie, but from what is clearly seen in this short minute, there will not be much of the real Dragonball in this live action movie.

That is a good analysis, and I agree with you completely...This movie will be bad...definitely not what the fans deserve. However I don't think it will bomb in the box office...so maybe the next one will be better? :(.

Looking at the trailer.. Roshi sitting with the other people might have been the sealing of Piccolo...

All they kept of Roshi is his hawaiian shirt from one of the first times we meet him. It's like they summarized all of db and skipped Krillin, Tenshinhan and the Red Ribbon Army.

Srsly, why is there no red ribbon army? Would it have killed them? Honestly...

Ofcourse I'm going to see this movie, but I'm afraid it'll be to poke fun at all the inaccuracies. It's like they took Dragonball, erased everything except for the names and dragonballs themselves and wrote themselves a new story.

One last gripe... why the hell does Roshi perform a GREEN ki attack?! Who do they think he is?! Broly?!?! >_> yare yare...

I agree with this.
My biggest gripe though, is how they americanized the whole story >>

...and one of the things he was notorious for in DB was his INability to deal with technology. Why's he now driving around in a Bumblebee knockoff?

I also miss some major factions... Capsule Corp (though that may just have not been put in the trailer), the Red Ribbon Army (at LEAST let them perform in the background, I don't care if they rewrite it to be Piccolo's personal army)

I think it's really a pity that they rewrote "earth" to be this earth, when Toriyama always meant it to be a different planet with the same name and race. Hence the different geography, architecture and more advanced technology...

far behind on the news here aren't yeah? LOL Anyways, this isn't the "official" trailer for the movie. FOX already said that this trailer wasn't met to be leak online. Which to me is BS because I think that they simply leak it and being lot of fans and non-fans hated it they have come out and said that they are going to be releasing a new "official" trailer this fall as they say.

This isn't even the completed trailer. They said they have a lot of work to do. I know I felt the same way feeling let down when I first saw it but then I fished around and it turns out Fox released that this was only used to promote to companies about the movie and thusly introducing the characters. I think they were showing it to toy and game companies... idk. Either way this isn't the theatrical theater.

omg tell me I just didn't see a kissing scene? Sometimes I don't get why americans are so bent on "americanizing" everything, it's a friggin Dragonball movie and it's got a kissing scene? I think having an american actor like Justin Chatwin to perform Goku was a mistake in the first place, look at that geek who performed the main character in the Transformers movie, or the geek who performed alongside Jackie an Jet Li in Forbidden Kingdom... The least they could've done here is get an actor like Keanu Reeves for instance atleast he doesn't look like a geeky north american bullied highscooler like Chatwin and the other two from Transformers and Forbidden Kingdom.. It's sad :'(

damn that is commercial f&#^ing buls#&it. looks more like some hollywood action-fighting movie with yakuza than Dragon Ball ! Now that I've seen this, the original ( oooooooold ) db movie was faar better. and by the looks of it, they're intenting to make damn long and even worse sequels, I am sure of that! sorry, that is my very sincere opinion. I think I'll stick to manga/anime/games

I have a few questions!

1st. : Why the hell isnt roshi using a turtle shell as he's supposed to?
2nd. : Why is goku wearing a orange shirt, black pants, and black bracelets?, and why the hell only mai is on the movie?, where are the other two?, where are tien and chiaotzu, why doesnt the red ribbon army get in the movie?
3rd. : where's pilaf, korin, yajirobe, and kami, and why is goku fighting piccolo in a grave and not in the city as he is supposed to?

This is not what the fans would expect of the movie, and in that time goku isnt married yet, or, as he appears to be in this trailer, and i must say, i am very reluctant on seeing this movie!

First off the movie should have been done like "Advent Children." I've watched all the trailers and in no way does the movie look like its going to be worth watching. A true fan would agree with me that it looks like they are making fun of the series and making it a giant joke. they shouldn't even make the movie!

Wow, this looks amazing...
The faces look great, but you should work on the attack effects.
The Kame-Hame-Ha for example löooks... ya know

But anyway, I´ll keep an eye on this, so DON´T YOU DARE TO FAIL XD
