Teachers can't make you do shit, especially at a prom, why was that cheesey BG built if it was designed for a photograph of people on their todd. And what do teachers expect you to do in a photograph of you and a chick, it's not going to be anything like what you do after the prom :P

BTW: To me you look a little young for a 14 yr old, but so do I, I'm 18 and I only look to be around 15-16.
