Despite middling reviews, Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 2 was popular amongst fans of its cartoon inspiration when it was released for the PlayStation 2 last year. Now it looks like GameCube owners will also be able to get their hands on the title. According to numerous online retailers, Atari will release a port of the game to Nintendo consoles this December for the bargain price of $19.99.

They probably won't though. They didn't even put B1 on XBox.

I've never played any of the games but I'm really a fan of fighting games. One of my favorite is Mortal Kombat.

Now... does Budokai 1, 2 or 3 have fatalities like MK?

That'd be cool. :droll:

No, no it doesnt. As for it coming to Xbox, I wouldnt really care either way, but it seems it wont so no worries herre. Kinda odd why it'd be a $20 release, but I guess cause its been out a while and B3 will be out soon.

The reason it's being released at 20 bucks is because it's OLD. let's face it, OLD. It's awesome! but old... And because maybe the material is cheaper? I dunno, but that sounds right. As for B3, I will pay ten pounds of solid gold (or five pounds of cocaine) to get my hands on it!!! They'd better put some kind of extra feature, though! Like a super-kewl video or something...

I'm a cube owner and I think this is not at all an impressive announcement. B1 was ok, B2 was kinda crap ( my friend has it and I played that board game story thing ). Personally, having B3 for ps2 doenst sound great either. Realistically, budokai isnt all that good in the gaming world. Buy Soul Cali or Street Fighter for good fighting kicks.

you're completely right. DBZ Budokai is CRAP as a Fighting Game, but that's not why most people play it. I play it just because I'm obssesed with DBZ and can set up my own fights and whatnot. If you wanna talk about a fighting game that sucks, try DBZ: Taiketsu. THE worst fighting game ever.

yeah, but still. If you do buy it, you only set yourself up for dissapointment. You'd think there'd be an extremely good dbz fighter out there considering the potential.

Well, that's a good thing to know, even though I have both a PS2 and a Gamecube.
