Clans?

There are alot of reasons why clans are a good and bad idea on a forum. I'll go ahead and give the bad first to get that out of the way^_^ Now the bad thing about clans is that it takes alot of time to manage it and come up with all the clan rankings and everything. It will be also very hard to get this to fit in with this type of board. If you want a long story short, throwing real life into the mix doesn't give us the time. Now the good thing is that it will bring about a sense of importance and that you belong to something other then the forum itself, as a whole. It also provides a little bit of fun with clan challenges and RPing, if in this case it's aloud on the board, for everyone. Take in mind though that this will take ALOT of plaining if it is thrown into the pool of ideas to compensate for.

I actually had been thinking something like that, but I havent been able to plan something solid. I would appreciate if some people gave some suggestions here.

Do anime clans, and have leader, like-

DBZ CLAN(led by-Videl)
Inuyasha CLAN-(Joe)
Naruto Clan-(Naemi) and so forth..

or you can just make a thread in there and make a sertain limit to the clans(like have 11 or less of them)

and any of the mods or administraters can make a clan and set it up, and mabey you can probley let certian non-mods/administraters. hopfully that would work.

im still trying to think of more sugestions so i'll post them once i can think of them.

Start a few clans at a time. This would be a good way to start, XZ...

XZ PMs 5 or 6 trusted members of his liking, and he asks them if they want to be clan leaders, if the accept, then they get to pic what the clans about.. Then in a new forum called clans, people could start having signups...

Once clans are started XZ COULD make a catergory named Clans, and have each clan it's own password protected forum.
How do like my idea?

Make it 2 or 3 clans, we don't have enough members for 5 to work efficiently yet.

Yeh, but I was thinking like only 4 or 5 memebrrs per clan. Small clans.

I like you. Your brilliant! That is a very good plan but the plan at hand is to get XZ to accept the purposal. So until that happens, nothing does. Lol.
