The ginyu force was easy for him to beat, he kicked all of their @$$es and probably thought that would be enough to make them rethink their current ideas on hurting innocent people.
Raditz he had to have Piccolo Kill because of Raditz's strength.
He thought Vegeta could change his evil ways and he did.
He thought Frieza had died when he blasted the still living half.
He tried his best to kill Cell when he sacraficed himself.
He wanted the new generation to destroy Fat Buu.
The evilness in Kid Buu was destroyed, Uub is completly different personality wise. He only has the strenght and part of the body of Kid Buu.
I guess in GT the enemies were just easier to kill...

So, it's not all that weird, he either saw potential in the person for changing, thought he could kill them or couldn't kill them. I didn't know there was a censor up here though...

The weirdest thing about Goku is that he's too nice. He doesn't fight someone to the death like Vegeta does (you can see why I don't exactly like him, can't you?), and he holds back too much. You know what's worse? He always makes someone else do the fighting (e.g. Gohan in the Cell Games), and is too stupid for his own good (the bump he received on the head as a baby really scrambled his brain, or lack thereof).

first of all, he doesn't hold back that much. second, he doesn't always make someone else do the fighting.

Okay, so I was a little off, but it is sort of true. I mean, Goku quit fighting against Cell and had Gohan step in and finish the job, despite what the others were saying.
But, the thing about holding back, there's some truth there as well. During his fight with Majin Vegeta, Goku looked like he was letting him tear through him like a rag doll (hence the reason why Vegeta was so miffed at him just before they became Vegito).

Goku didn't want to go into SSJ3 because of the amount of power it drained, he didn't want to waste the energy in a battle against Vegeta. In SSJ2 the two were equal, Goku would have only used SSJ3 during that battle if it had been a life or death situation.
In the fight against Cell Goku knew he couldn't win, but he knew Gohan had the potential to beat him. He would have died during the fight if he had not forfieted.

he is TOO unfogiving....and another wierd thing....his power level ALWAYS increases so much that it doesn't make sence anymore.....oh and by the way "SSJ3500" thanks for telling us the facts that we already know...talk about pointing out the obvious huh?

if Goku went to SSJ3 he would definitely win but when fighting Vegeta he would take too much energy and he still would had to help fight Majin Buu with Gohan and Supreme Kai. if he went to SSJ2 like he did, he would and Vegeta would have been fighting for a longer time becuz their powerlevels were even. if Goku went to SSJ3, Vegeta would have got really angry becuz Goku surpassed him.

The way Erin phrased the post made it seem as if those facts needed to be cleared up.

Goku doesn't kill much in DBZ, but he does plenty in DB. Tambourine, Piccolo, and he almost had Taopaipai. The only person he kills in DBZ is buu, but he did contribute to the death of raditz.
Edit: Bah. I almost forgot about him bringing Cell to kaio's planet and killing them off.

Goku does do more killing in DB because hes the main character, and beleive it or not, Gohan was meant to be the main character in DBZ!

If you think about it, Goku did kill buu, the people of earth did with the spirit bomb.
And in GT, well that wasn't Toriyama's work.

ya i agree with joe, buu did die, but came back to life as a better person cause pf a request goku made
so Goku gave him mercy with making the wish, and the fact that the people of earth killed him.
